I was born in Lancashire; I lived in Leyland until my parents moved house to Wrexham.
I went to The King's School Chester, where I developed interests in theatre, rowing and radio.
I read engineering at Cambridge University, and graduated from Churchill College.
I currently live and work in Cambridge.
