Les Liaisons Dangereuses

This was the first show I worked on after moving back to Cambridge in February 2001. As Master Carpenter I had some fun building some quite silly bits of set...including lots of curvy things. This was something that would happen again... and again that term.

How do do silly pillars... take an inch of plywood, soak it and bend it around a 13 inch radius. Then leave it for a week, ratchet-strap it round a suitable former, glue, staple, leave as long as you dare, hope and gingerly remove the straps!
